


Patrick Brennan is a artist and educator whose dynamic career spans over two decades. He holds an MFA from Cornell University and a BFA from Alfred University. Brennan has exhibited widely, with solo shows at esteemed venues such as Halsey McKay Gallery, Essex Flowers, and Romer Young Gallery. His work, characterized by an innovative approach to abstraction and materiality, has been featured in group exhibitions at notable institutions like MOMA PS1, Galerie Lelong, and V1 Gallery in Copenhagen. Brennan’s contributions to contemporary art have been highlighted in publications such as The New York Times, Hyperallergic, and The Brooklyn Rail.
A recipient of prestigious awards including the NYFA Fellowship in Painting and the Michael Rapuano Award from Cornell University, Brennan’s work reflects a commitment to pushing the boundaries of painting. He has participated in residencies around the world, including the US Embassy in Bahrain and the Liquitex Cadmium-Free Research Residency in London. As an educator, he has shared his expertise as a visiting artist at institutions like Alfred University and Bennington College, mentoring the next generation of artists while maintaining an active studio practice.
